"Rarely are there locations on earth where guests are invited to sit in a cool, clear stream to enjoy the afternoon sunlight. Big Sur River Inn Restaurant is just such a place. The food is a surprise given the remote location and long drive to arrive. After an enjoyable lunch, we noticed people walking over to the babbling river. Immediately we saw people sitting in wooden lawn chairs in the middle of the small river. Who could resist such an inviting sight? We took off our shoes and waded out to the chairs. Sitting in the river, allowing our food to digest was a wonderful way to allow our food to digest and at the same time enjoy the fresh air. If you want to fade into nature, this is the setting to wind down from your busy city life in a natural bliss. " |
